About OptiVena

We Bring the Lab to You

OptiVena Mobile Phlebotomy is a mobile blood draw service based in Queen Creek, Arizona, serving 26 cities and communities across the Phoenix metro. We perform routine lab draws, same-day STAT collection, therapeutic phlebotomy, specialty kit collection, pediatric draws, and self-ordered lab testing in your home, office, or care facility, then deliver your specimen to Labcorp or Sonora Quest the same day.

Lab work should fit your life, not the other way around.
The reason we started

Why We Started

We spent years on the other side of the counter.

Before OptiVena, our founders worked in and managed patient service centers for major laboratory companies, drawing on more than 14 years in phlebotomy and clinical operations. We watched the same scene play out every morning: a waiting room full of people who had been fasting since the night before, appointments running behind, parents trying to keep a nervous child calm, and patients who had taken time off work only to be told the wait was another hour.

We also saw who quietly gave up. Patients without reliable transportation. People whose mobility made a trip to a service center genuinely difficult. Shift workers whose hours never lined up with the lab's. Their orders went undrawn, sometimes for months, and their care stalled for reasons that had nothing to do with medicine.

That is the problem OptiVena was built to solve. Not a more comfortable waiting room, but no waiting room at all.

Leadership

Founded and led by professionals who spent years inside the system we set out to improve.

  • Founder and Lead Phlebotomist

    Kelle M.

    Nationally Certified Phlebotomy Technician (NCCT)

Kelle has been a licensed phlebotomist since 2012 and founded OptiVena after years in patient service center operations for major laboratory companies, handling everything from routine panels to difficult sticks and specialty kit requirements. She sets the clinical standard our phlebotomists work to, which is why OptiVena accepts appointments many mobile services turn down: pediatric and sensory-sensitive patients, hard-to-access veins, and kits requiring on-site centrifuging and serum separation.

  • Cofounder and Clinical Operations

    Emily M.

Medical Assistant | BS, Biological Sciences

Emily is a medical assistant with a background in biological sciences. She works alongside our phlebotomists in the field and oversees the operational side of the practice, from scheduling and specimen logistics to laboratory coordination across the Valley. The clinical training informs both halves of the role, which is why patients get the same standard of care whether the question is about a vein or a lab order.

Putting Patients First

Fasting labs are the clearest example of what is wrong with the standard model. You are told not to eat after midnight, then asked to sit in a crowded room for an hour before anyone calls your name. People arrive irritable and lightheaded through no fault of their own, and that is before anyone has touched a needle.

We start at 5:00 AM on weekdays so fasting draws happen before your day does. We work Saturday mornings, when Labcorp and Sonora Quest service centers are closed. And because we come to you, the appointment fits your schedule instead of the other way around.

A Stress-Free Experience

Our goal is simple: to make lab work accessible to everyone who needs it. Whether you are a busy professional, a parent with a child who dreads needles, someone with limited mobility, or a patient without reliable transportation, we bring the lab to your door. No time off work. No arranging a ride. No waiting room at all.

We also take the appointments that are hardest to get elsewhere. Therapeutic phlebotomy for hemochromatosis, polycythemia vera, and TRT-related erythrocytosis. Specialty kits from IGeneX, Galleri, Vibrant Wellness, Genova, and Boston Heart, with the on-site processing and shipping those kits require. Pediatric draws at a child's pace. If a lab order exists, there is usually a way for us to fill it.
